Car air conditioning in Torrevieja

At Karsen Taller we recharge and repair the air conditioning of petrol, diesel and hybrid cars, with R134a or R1234yf gas, and we hold the official authorisation and certificates for both. If the air isn't cold, we find the fault or the leak before recharging: we've found leaks that other garages hadn't been able to locate. You get the quote before we start.

Which gas does my car use?

Since 2017, new cars registered in the European Union must use a low-impact refrigerant, and almost all of them use R1234yf. Older cars usually use R134a. A sticker under the bonnet tells you which; if you can't find it, send us your number plate on WhatsApp and we'll tell you.

Signs your air conditioning needs a check

  • Air comes out, but it isn't cold.
  • It cools less than before, or only now and then.
  • It smells damp when you switch it on.
  • It makes a noise when the compressor kicks in.

How we do it

  1. Message us on WhatsApp with your number plate.
  2. We check the system and find the fault or the leak.
  3. You get the quote before we touch anything.
  4. We recharge or repair it (compressor, condenser, leak) and check that it cools.

Frequently asked questions

Air conditioning

How often does car air conditioning need recharging?

A circuit in good condition shouldn't need frequent recharges. If it cools less every summer, there's usually a small leak, so we look for it before recharging. We've found leaks that other garages hadn't managed to locate.

Do you recharge R1234yf gas?

Yes. We are certified for R134a and for R1234yf, the gas used in almost every car registered since 2017.

How much does a car air conditioning recharge cost?

It depends on which gas your car uses and whether anything needs repairing. Send us your number plate on WhatsApp and we'll give you the price before we start.

Do you work on hybrid cars?

Yes, on petrol, diesel and hybrid cars. We don't work on fully electric cars.
